The ARCUS training tool is a web-based reader certification tool developed by Universitätsmedizin Greifswald. It consists of a comprehensive thyroid image data repository which ultrasound observers can use for training and certification. Successful certification in all three thyroid modules is according to the Study of Health in Pomerania (SHIP) standards. This certification aims to standardise thyroid ultrasound measurements in population-based studies and has no clinical application. ARCUS is available to all EUthyroid partners as well as associated third parties.
